Silver Star Ranch

We founded Silver Star Ranch in 2003 with our sights set to raise Texas Longhorns. Due to the Ranch's size, and through years of investigations and reviews, we decided to raise miniature cattle. Our search for the Texas Miniature Longhorn Breed allowed us to select from some of the best breeders in the USA to create what we think is the best of the breed. Utilizing these magnificent animals as our main herd stock, we look forward to creating some of the most distinguished Bulls and Cows of the Texas Miniature Longhorns in the USA! Check out our Blood Lines.

Sale of Longhorns

Back to list of Mini Longhorns for sale

A deposit of 50% is required to hold a Longhorn until weaned or ready for pick up. The deposit check must be received 20 days prior to pick up to make sure it clears the bank. Final payment is due by cash on day of pick up. If you are not picking up the Longhorn and using a transport service, then the final 50% must be paid by cash through Western Union to pick up.

Deposits are non-refundable as we take the Longhorn off the sale page and may turn down viable offers because you have paid a deposit. Deposits are only refundable if the animal becomes sick or dies prior to your possession.

Buyer must pick up the animal within 5 days of the agreed upon date for pick up. If the Longhorn is not picked up within the 5 days there is a charge per Longhorn per day of $3 per day charge for the first 30 days, $5 per day for days 31-60 and $10 per day for days 61-90. This charge for feed and board is added to the sale price and due payable on day of pick up. After 90 days the Longhorn is placed back on sale and the deposit is forfeited.

If a Health Certificate is required, the buyer will be charged for the certificate. If a bull requires a trichinosis test, it must be done at least 2 weeks prior to pick up to recieve results prior to pick up. The buyer will be charged for the trich test which is usually around $100.

We are not responsible for Longhorns after they have left our ranch. We are not responsible for anything that happens in transport of the animal. There are no guarantees on cattle in terms of mature height and size, horn size, health, disposition, or reproductive ability.
